The excellence of manufacturing quality, can trump innovation as a product area matures, but in the ITO and BPO world this will not result in a consulting versus maintenance industry structure. Technological understanding of manufacturing, if ignored, will prejudice the long-term viability of a solutions provider. It is necessary to have both low cost manufacturing capability as well as a front end consulting unit to act as an innovation engine for service providers.

Over the last few months I have been speaking with numerous organizations about the growth of the Cloud Computing in support of Saugatuck's research agenda. Here are some high level thoughts from a recent report that looks in far greater detail on five strategies that can help organizations with Cloud Computing. I am finding many IT organizations are not prepared.

Some of the leading Bloggers in the world came together to become members of the World Business Forum. The World Business Forum is the second most influential management and business conference after the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Around four to five thousand people come together every year to hear from luminaries from a range of socio-economic and business backgrounds including, innovation, change, leadership and economics. The event takes place at New York’s Radio City Hall.
